Delta Airlines Customer Service: A+

I have to share a recent good experience I had with Delta Airlines. It seems like I hear so many complaints and horror stories that it is nice to get to experience gems like this.

Beth and I had a Florida vacation planned for mid-September this year. The weekend before we were to leave her dad had an accident and ended up in ICU. I knew I could get all our hotel reservations cancelled because of their cancellation policies, but I thought the plane tickets may be much more challenging, if not impossible, to cancel.

After spending only a couple minutes on the phone and explaining our situation to Delta customer service they agreed to give us credit for our tickets to be used within a year of our original booking date. Normally they charge $100 to make any changes to tickets but they waived this for us because of our situation as well.

Delta made a really challenging and stressful time for us much less stressful and it is this kind of service that compels a customer to want to come back and support their company again.

I should also mention that we’ve always had great experience with Southwest Airlines and would fly with them again in a heartbeat.
